Canadian churches refer to PAR or "Pre-Authorized Remittance" as a way to give through an automatic monthly withdrawal from their bank account to their church. In the US, I usually hear this called "Electronic Funds Transfer."

We should give thanks to God for partners in ministry. As drought and famine ravage East Africa we are able to offer our support through CRWRC. It is imperative that deacons utilize the resources already in existence and continue to foster these relationships.

On Sunday our members received a letter in their mailboxes from Pastor Paul. It started with "I want to share with you a courageous leadership decision made by our Administrative Elders and Deacons and subsequently endorsed by the full Council. In spite of a budget that continues to show deficits, we decided to step out in faith and pay 100% of our pledges

My kids and wife hardly give me stuff anymore, regardless of the occasion. Around Christmas, birthdays, and Father’s Day, they once paid close attention to the perpetual gross list I’d stick over family pictures disguising the refrigerator: “Two of everything.” (A Mennonite friend calls that my “Noah List”—but I never wanted even one cat.)

Did you know that each adult church member in the CRC is asked to contribute a base amount of $307.53 in 2010 for denominational ministries? If you were looking at this as a consumer asking "what you get" for this contribution, you would see that you are contributing:
