Fill in the Gaps With Free Stand-Alone Lessons

Comments (0)

You asked, we answered! We now have four single “stand-alone” Discover Your Bible lessons. . . and they are free!

Choosing materials can be tricky. Many groups meet 20-24 times in a ministry year, while the typical DYB study has between 4 and 12 lessons per book. If you are planning out your group’s calendar, you can use these free, stand-alone lessons to fill in the gaps. You can also use a stand-alone lesson at a special event or to introduce people to Discover Your Bible study materials.

These free stand-alone studies are available via a brief online form and are offered in a PDF format that can be printed in the familiar booklet format, notebook size, or in large print. (Printing instructions are included at the end of the form.)

  • Discover the Guardian-Redeemer - Selected passages from the book of Ruth and the New Testament will point to Christ as a guardian-redeemer and what that means for each of us.
  • Discover Psalms 4-5: Beginning and Ending the Day - Psalm 5 gives us wonderful insight on beginning our day well, especially in times of stress. Psalm 4, on the other hand, gives us insight into how to end the day well. As we look at these two psalms, we will learn from David how to start and end our days well and also how to live meaningfully the hours in between.
  • Discover the Twenty-Third Psalm - Whether this psalm is new to you or very familiar, there will still be things to discover. In addition to the psalm, this lesson will cover other verses both in the Old Testament and New Testament that speak of God as shepherd or where Jesus calls himself the good shepherd.
  • Discover New Life in Christ: Selections from Colossians - In this study we explore with Paul and the Colossians the amazing depths of God’s love for us in Christ, in whom “all things hold together,” so that we can live by that love too, in all our relationships.
