Tour of Tables Thanks
This past weekend I had the pleasure of attending one of my favorite Christmas events at my church--Tour of Tables. I brought some friends to tour the decorated tables on Friday night and then also attended the brunch and program Saturday morning. Church members are encouraged to invite their friends and neighbors.
I was able to enjoy the beauty and creativity of the 38 table designers, the guest speaker, music, and how everything just seemed to flow smoothly during the events. My assigned table was "Home (Repairs) for the Holidays" and my placemat was sandpaper rimmed with duct tape. The guest speaker talked about "repurposing" our lives as she repurposes junk (she's a "junker"). The WindSounds Quintet played beautifully. I laughed a lot and was spiritually refreshed by the sights and sounds of Christmas.
I also know that several members with the gift of administration made this event possible. Who coordinated all those table designers and set up of the tables? Where did all those name tags come from? Who organized the caterer and holiday shoppes? Who coordinated the guest speaker and special music? Wow. A lot of people behind the scenes with great administrative gifts.
I know that administrative people don't get the frontline thanks but today I want to thank them for what they did for the Tour of Tables Ministry. There are lots of you out there with the gift of administration who are usually behind the scenes. Thanks for all you do in church ministry.
How are you utilizing your gift of administration? Take time today to thank someone who uses their administrative gift.
