Deacon Resources on The Network

I'm not sure how many of you delve into the depths of the Network, mining it for all the gold that exists on its various levels, but I thought it was about time to highlight the Deacon Resources section.  This little area of the Network holds tons of great information and sources for both new and experienced deacons alike.

If you've browsed to the resources section, you'll have noticed the 4 headings (articles, blogs, resources, websites) under RESOURCE BROWSER PAGE - from this main page you can explore the written material under any of these titles - all of which are directly related to the ministry of the diaconate.  Most of these resources have been around for years, so the wealth of information you can access is phenomenal!

The articles touch on topics from stewardship to deacon meetings to spiritual gifts, covering a diverse range of topics.  In the resource section you'll find various discussions about community, our deacon mandates, and training.  The websites bring information  from different congregations  and ministries tied to our denomination.  And the blog... well, if you're reading this, you know how to access it! (Though under the resource section it's easier to scroll way back - even to the beginning!)

This resource section can be a great source of new ideas or support.  If you're looking for a particular resource and not finding anything - let me know, as we want this site to be a place where you can find answers to your deacon questions!
