Do You Care?

Have you wondered if you’re in youth ministry for the ‘right’ reasons? How do you know if you really care for the youth you are ministering to? These are tough questions. These are questions that every youth worker, either paid or volunteer, should consider a few times a year. It’s not redundant but rather a reality check.  It helps keep you focused on the ministry God has called you to.

Nick In't Hout asks this tough question in Youth Unlimited's lasted issue of Out Of the Trenches. Nick goes one step further and asks how YOU show that you care.

Nick continues his article by sharing his thoughts and opinions as he reflects on his ministry in Southern California.

Feel free to check out the other links in Out Of The Trenches. Please take some time to respond and share your thoughts regarding Nick’s question. Either do that through the Network or click on the ‘Talk Back Button’ to your left of the article.

Hi Marcel, Good article. I find that most of this support is in the parent's area of responsibility. As parents we must fully invest ourselves in them at all costs.

Thanks for your comment Ken. I agree, as a parent, we can not invest enough into our children. We also can not show enough appreciation for the youth workers who invest in their lives!
