"Yes, you've told us that." "Can you help us?" "Uh, sorry, I need to plan next week's dodgeball event." Marc Hoogstad https://network.crcna.org/topic/children-youth/youth-ministry/partnering-parents-family-resourcing Mon, 16 Nov 2015 21:12:20 +0000 Quiet Down: Lectio Divina in Youth Ministry https://network.crcna.org/topic/children-youth/youth-ministry/quiet-down-lectio-divina-youth-ministry Some years ago, I recall playing a popular youth group game called "Bigger and Better." Perhaps you've enjoyed it yourself or with your youth group. Marc Hoogstad https://network.crcna.org/topic/children-youth/youth-ministry/quiet-down-lectio-divina-youth-ministry Fri, 25 Sep 2015 17:28:02 +0000 Is the Current Changing? https://network.crcna.org/topic/children-youth/youth-ministry/current-changing Last week I had had enough. It was time to dig in and do some hard work. I had been looking at the one fish left surviving in my neglected 30 gallon tank. It was the lone survivor left to its own fate due to a hectic summer and ministry kickoff season (and a little laziness on my part). Marc Hoogstad https://network.crcna.org/topic/children-youth/youth-ministry/current-changing Mon, 17 Nov 2014 15:59:03 +0000 Resources: Good Teen Devotionals https://network.crcna.org/topic/children-youth/youth-ministry/resources-good-teen-devotionals “Can you recommend a good devotional for teens?” If you’re a youth worker, you’ve likely been asked this question by parents, pastors, and perhaps teens themselves. Marc Hoogstad https://network.crcna.org/topic/children-youth/youth-ministry/resources-good-teen-devotionals Thu, 15 May 2014 14:43:33 +0000 Eats, Shoots and Leaves https://network.crcna.org/topic/children-youth/youth-ministry/eats-shoots-and-leaves Some months ago I was in a second-hand store, and noticed a series of grammatically incorrect signs. "Boys Shoes," "Boys' Shoe's," "Boy's shoes.'" It's fairly common to see a sign with incorrect punctuation, but this group of signs (all of which are incorrect) made me laugh.
