Kids Corner: Great messages wrapped-up in fun stories.

At Kids Corner, biblical literacy and faith formation are the heartbeats of our ministry, but great storytelling is the pulse. So if you’re looking for a discipleship resource for your family that’s both fun and substantive, check out Kids Corner. It’s a weekly, 25-minute audio program for kids that follows the adventures of Lizarardo “Liz” Lacerta and his reptilian pals. You’ll find a variety of excellent resources compliment the audio program: Web-based audio Bible stories, parent discussion guides, family devotions, fun activities, and much more.

Here are some of the most recent episodes from Kids Corner:

Don’t Judge a Book by its Cover. Yikes! What happens when Liz and Lucille try to return a lunch box that belongs to someone in the weirdest family in town?

Meet Gerald Drippan. Liz and Lucille try to befriend the new kid at school, but Gerald would rather hang out with the Iguanas. But then he gets caught throwing eggs at Grandpa's house.

Mercy Me. When Liz crashes Grandpa's tractor, he learns an important lesson about forgiveness.

The Order of the Gator. Can he do it? Will Liz unravel the clues and achieve the highest reptile honor?

Be sure to explore the dramatized Bible Stories at Kids Corner too!

Each month, I post on the Network a digest of recent Kids Corner episodes. You don’t have to wait, however; I encourage you to explore kidscorner.net at any time. You can also subscribe to the weekly email. And be sure to join our Facebook community (“Like” Kids Corner!).

Speaking of faith formation. Has one of your kids ever asked you a question like this? "Why do people give something up during Lent?" While Lent does involve self-denial, it’s much more than that. It’s a season to focus on the hope of Jesus Christ through His death on the Cross and His Resurrection. The Today Daily Devotional, a sister publication of Kids Corner, is offering a free devotion series to help your family focus on the Cross during the season of Lent. Look for it at LentDevotionals.com.
