Does your church do youth mentoring?

In our congregation, we've had some success in introducing mentoring as a component for both preparation for Profession of Faith and in our student leaderhsip program. The fruit of these relationships is undeniable and we would like to make mentoring the foundation of our high school and junior high school ministry.
Have any other congregations tried to incorporate mentoring into your youth ministry? What happened?
Are there any other congregations who have a vision for making mentoring a foundation of youth ministry?
