The family is the crucible of discipleship. For parents, Christ’s Great Commission begins with their own children. Indeed, the home is the frontline for teaching the gospel of salvation to our children and nurturing them in the love of Christ. The Internet fairly bulges with resources to help parents meet this paramount responsibility: many of them are very good. How do you find one that's right for you? I would like to introduce you to Family Fire from ReFrame Media, the English language ministry of Back to God Ministries International.

As part of BTGMI, ReFrame is first and foremost an outreach mission. Family Fire, led by Steven and Deb Koster, is a big part of that: it’s placed to offer encouragement and guidance to anyone, from any background, and at any point in their faith journey. Family Fire looks through scriptural lenses at the spiritual, emotional, intellectual, and physical facets of relationships in Christian marriage, parenting, dating, and intimacy. Steven and Deb then take it a step further by inviting readers into community through social media. The message is this: no one struggles alone. Every essay and devotion, in a distinctly Reformed accent, helps readers enlist the power of the Holy Spirit to transform their relationships.

As with all ReFrame Media programs, Family Fire is a ministry from the CRC, but it’s also for the CRC. Do you want encouragement as a spouse or parent? Is there someone you know who needs building up in family relationships? Family Fire is for you.
