Let's imagine. Sally and Stan are typical folks in your community. Sally went to church with her family until she started college. Stan remembers a Bible school experience and a few Christmas and Easter services. Sally and Stan have not attended church as a married couple but recently friends invited them to a holiday service at their church. They loved it! They joined an Alpha class, committed their lives to Christ and now are ready to grow. They have asked for help in learning how to read the Bible.
