Welcome to the Sunday School Network page.  My name is Laura Keeley and I am the guide for this part of the Network site.  For the last 20 years I have been the Co-Director of Children’s Ministries (with my husband Bob) at 14^th Street CRC in Holland, MI.  I really enjoy working with children and because I’ve been at 14^th Street for so long I have had the opportunity to see many children grow and mature in their faith. This has been a great joy and is one of the best parts of the job. 

I began my career as an elementary teacher.   For seven years I taught in both public and Christian school classrooms in Michigan, New Jersey and Colorado.   I received my Bachelor’s degree from Calvin College in Elementary Education and a Master’s degree from the University of Colorado at Denver in the Teaching of Reading.   I left full time classroom teaching when my first child was born.  I now have four children ages 19 to 27.  Over the last ten years, I have started to do some writing in addition to my work at 14^th Street.  Faith Alive has given the opportunity to participate in writing some of their curriculums and my husband and I have written a series of Christmas dramas for children and a book on Faith Milestones.   

Every month I meet with a group of other church educators in the Holland, MI area because I enjoy learning from others and sharing my ideas.  I am excited about being the guide for the Sunday School site because it will allow me to hear from those outside of West Michigan. I look forward to learning from you.
