About Me
I am a child of my Heavenly Father, a brother of His Son, and a walking companion of His Spirit.
I am on a journey of growing in listening prayer and experiencing the presence of Christ in all things, whether painful or joyful.
I was born in Sarnia, ON, grew up in Woodstock ON, have lived in Hamilton, Cambridge, Grand Rapids MI, Edmonton AB and now Abbotsford, BC. Don't have a clue where next :)
I am husband to a wonderful woman of God, Anita and am father to three gifts from the Lord, sons who teach me much.
I am serving my second congregation since entering ministry later in life. I am senior pastor in a great multi-staff context.
Interests
I like history, photographic accounts of past eras, good comedy and I am a science fiction fan and have always enjoyed the cinema.
I walk our dog as much as I can (not as much as I should). I enjoy the climate where-ever we have lived. I like exploring cities , museums, and grand vistas of creation when on vacation with my wife and which ever son will come along.
I am interested in the "closer together than we think" reality of my brothers and sisters in the Reformed and Anabaptist traditions.
I like a Moravian saying of "In essentials, unity. In non-essentials, liberty. In all things, love."My Topics

Thanks all! Your comments and questions need to be asked by us pastors way before retirement. Authentic living and being who you really are needs to be the journey into ministry...

Great article Phil. It brings to mind for me the difference between approaching this as a technical problem to be solved or an adaptive challenge to learn some new things about. We...
