About Me

Who I am: ex-New Yorker, employed by Christian Reformed World Missions. Before I started searching for a Christian college to attend, I had never heard of the CRCNA, although the city of my birth has Dutch roots, and we had a town named "Huguenot" and a "Huguenot Reformed Church". Where I came from: I was raised in Staten Island, NY (the "forgotten borough" of NYC) in a Roman Catholic family. My journey gradually led me to leave Catholicism, but the key is that I am saved by grace and by my faith in Jesus Christ. Where I'm going: That's up to God, I suppose. Sometimes I wish I knew.

Interests

My passions include anti-racism, size acceptance, hanging out with my many "nieces" and "nephews", and updating the Johanna Veenstra wikipedia page.
