One of the reasons that evangelism is often more privileged than 'community development' or 'seeking justice' in terms of the church's understanding of its mission has to do with our understanding of what happened at the cross. When we think of Jesus' death on the cross and what he accomplished there as somehow distinct from and unrelated to his Kingdom proclamation and actions, we get stuck. This webinar will discuss this issue and suggest that a more comprehensive view of the atonement can lead to a more comprehensive mission for the church - something we desperately need in our day and age.
