The Calvin Institute of Christian Worship is excited to present to Network readers the Vital Worship Grants Program — a grant program for worshiping communities. The annual grants of $5,000 to $12,000 are to foster vital worship in congregations, parishes, and other worshiping communities in North America. This grants program is especially focused on projects that connect public worship with intergenerational faith formation and Christian discipleship, a theme that can unfold in many facets of worship.

If you have been aware of our worship grants program in the past, you'll note that this is a new name and we have a new look on our website at worship.calvin.edu/grants.  We are excited about this updating and about the organic look that has been created to accompany an emphasis on vital worship.

If you click on "Explore & Apply" you will find a series of 4 steps for making a grant application, beginning with gathering a group to reflect on worship in your setting, and ending with actually sending in a proposal. Each step brings you to a page with more information and links to material that will help you along the way. The final two steps give instructions for writing and submitting a proposal, which would be due by January 10, 2014.

We hope you find all the information you need on these pages, but we also encourage you to contact us with any questions you may have about our Vital Worship Grants Program.

Blessings as you consider applying. We hope you do!
