Small Groups, Big Opportunity

On April 15-17, thousands from the CRC will be gathering to pray for our denomination at the 2013 Prayer Summit and in homes and churches across North America and around the world. The second Prayer Summit, sponsored by the Christian Reformed Church, will again be hosted by All Nations CRC, Lakeview Terrace, California. The Prayer Summit is one part of a larger grassroots movement igniting prayer in the CRC.

Your small group can participate in this growing movement by hosting a “Watch and Pray” event in the comfort of your home or join by using the daily Prayer Guide.

Here’s how the “Watch and Pray” events will work: On Tuesday, April 16, or Wednesday, April 17, the key note sessions from the Prayer Summit will be available on the Prayer Summit Website ( You can download them, at no charge, and share them with your group. For example, Tuesday’s session from Monday evening will feature Richard Mouw. The sessions will be approximately 45 minutes. We encourage groups to follow the video with a time of prayer. Outlines for small group prayer are also available on the website, under “Watch and Pray.”

Your group can also join by using the Prayer Guide, once again available on the website. The prayer guide will prompt you to pray a variety of scripture and ideas for our denomination.

Your small group can be part of this big opportunity.

Encourage your small group to play a big role in this growing opportunity! Let’s Watch and Pray together. (Matt 26:41)
