I'm both a web developer and leading our cadets through the Computer Knowledge badge. I'm also considering tackling the Webmaster badge. As such, I'm wondering what sorts of tools are out there that would let kids get a website published easily and for free. For example, right now I'm evaluating Wix and Squarespace.

I'm also wondering if anyone else out there on The Network has tackled these badges and would be willing to share any tips, tricks, or ideas for engaging the boys.

Hi. I was never in Cadets so I can't help you with that end of things, but our church uses Wix for our website and it's pretty easy to use. You can drag and drop to add content and there are a lot of pre-built templates to start off with. It's also one of the more popular website builders, so if you have a problem or can't figure something out there is a lot of information available to help troubleshoot.
