My name is William Roelofs. I have recently completed my chaplain residency at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, near to where I grew up.
I attended Vanderbilt Divinity School in Nashville, TN, before moving back to the Chicago area with my wife, Leslie. While at Vanderbilt, I had the privilege of serving as a hospice chaplain and as a chaplain at multiple community hospitals. This time solidified my call and passion for healthcare chaplaincy.
I became a candidate for ministry in the CRC last June, and recently accepted a job at St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates, IL. Leslie and I are looking forward to the birth of our first child in November, and I am excited to teach them how to love Chicago sports and how to throw a frisbee.
