Hey Michigan area Coffee Break Leaders: we have an event you won't want to miss!
A team of Coffee Break workshop leaders have been revising the Coffee Break Bible Discovery leadership training and we've been testing bits and pieces of this training. One participant (who is also a long time educator) commented, “You taught us how you want us to lead!” The first opportunity to attend this brand-new workshop will be at Brookside CRC (Grand Rapids, MI) on August 16 from 9 am to 2:30 pm. The cost for the workshop, including lunch, is $25.00 per person. If this is a difficulty, scholarships are available. This unique event will be facilitated by Diane Averill (New Hampshire), Sam Huizenga (Michigan), Ruth Kelder (Illinois) and Marian Lensink (Ontario).
In addition, Story Hour and Little Lambs training will take place at the same time. This is a great opportunity for children's ministry volunteers or staff. Diane Dykgraaf, one of the creators of the material, will use hands on learning techniques to equip new or experienced leaders.
All Coffee Break, small group Bible study, and children's leaders are invited to attend! Follow this link to register for the August 16 Workshop.
So, what if you can’t drive to Michigan? The same training will be held in Platte, SD on August 24, 2016 from 9 am to 2 pm. For more information email, Ruth Kelder at email@example.com and to register email Hennie VanEssen at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you would be interested in attending an online Coffee Break training or hosting a Coffee Break Bible Discovery Training, please email Sam Huizenga at email@example.com.
