God has been faithful to our congregation: We have a committed core of believers, a strong tradition of Reformed teaching, a diversity of gifts, and a genuine love for God and one another. We also have a highly visible and desirable suburban location, a paid-off mortgage, and the ministry opportunities that come from being in one of the nation’s “hot” cities. We have enjoyed the faithful leadership of talented pastors, the latest of whom retired in 2018 after 25 years of dedicated service.
We are currently seeking how God would have us build on this foundation. We have embraced the challenges and benefits of being a small, intimate fellowship of believers, but we are unsure how our resources can best be used to meet the considerable needs of our community, many of whose members are drawn from Nashville’s large, and constantly expanding, immigrant and refugee populations from all over the world. We also recognize the need to increase our own numbers, particularly younger members and families with young children.
We seek a pastor of sensitivity and energy, one who will embrace our considerable diversity while helping us to reach out in love and faith. Strong preaching, evangelism, and organizational skills are desired, enhancing and complementing the congregation’s own strengths in teaching, worship, fellowship and pastoral care.
