Grace CRC is looking for a full-time pastor who will serve Christ in building his church by leading Grace in worship, preaching, and pastoral care as we deepen our call to be Christ-centered in ministry to our diverse neighborhood.

- Commitment to diversity and social justice as an outflow of the heart of the gospel
- Commitment to deep personal relationships and discipleship, growing together in unity as the people of the new creation
- Ability to engage in neighborhood relationships both of community leaders and residents
- Ability to engage a theologically and sociologically diverse congregation
- Ability to help us set long term visions and goals but also to keep the important details and follow-through in mind
- Ordained (or eligible) in the CRC/RCA
- Demonstrated experience in urban cross cultural settings
- Ability to use office software and social media
Primary responsibilities
Preaching and teaching
- Biblical, expository, and inspirational preaching most Sundays of the year
- Coordinating with worship leaders to offer a meaningful worship service
- Help plan, coordinate, and build up other leaders for discipleship activities like Bible studies or small groups
Congregational care
- Listening to, meeting with, and visiting congregational members especially those in need
- Empowering the elders to minister to their care groups
Administration
- Work with council and congregational leaders for strategic planning, financial stability, and leadership development
- Help ensure clear and consistent communication with the congregation
Church ministries
- Help develop and implement neighborhood connections and ministries
