Full Time Pastor Position

Agassiz Christian Reformed Church is a small but vibrant, family orientated community located in the eastern Fraser Valley of British Columbia. Agassiz is located 5 minutes from Harrison Hot Springs, 20 minutes from major shopping centers and 1.5 hours from downtown Vancouver. The town has a strong farming emphasis however has recently been sought out for it’s involved community and excellent access to nature. Our church is also known in the area for having excellent accousics and hosts many concerts and weddings which brings many people to our building who would not normally pass through our doors.

In the last few years we have seen a large number of new young families join our church largely as a result of an active and involved moms group. On an average sunday there are around 20 children on stage for our children’s message. The members of our church are hard working and dedicated to the success of sunday services but also to God’s work in our community. Members of our church are in all parts of community life including town council, local businesses, trades, the local Christian School and many volunteer boards. If there is a community event, parade, activity or organization then we have church members who are taking part in it.

We are seeking a full-time pastor. We are a welcoming and encouraging congregation, searching for a pastor who will provide Christ-centred preaching that will be applicable to our daily life, interacts positively with all age groups, and is an involved, creative and community-minded individual. In a recent congregational meeting the following things were voted as the most important things to our church:

Relates to Families/Kids/Youth

Passion for God, Scripture and church

Preaching applicable to daily life

Open Minded, Out of the box thinker

Community minded

Lives in community/Agassiz

Good communicator
