Office Manager at Fifth Reformed Church


Fifth Reformed Church is seeking an Office Manager to manage all administrative and office support activities. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities including the following: 

  1. Answer and screen calls, providing information as needed.  Responding to emails. 

  2. Administrative bookkeeping. 

  3. Maintaining membership records. 

  4. Plan and manage all church communications across multiple delivery channels. 

  5. Maintain church calendar. 

  6. Maintain church website and app. 

  7. Ordering and maintaining supplies. 

  8. Insurance and retirement benefits management. 

  9. Administrative support to other staff or ministry teams as requested.

  10. Facility team member reports directly to Office Manager

The position requires a strong attention to detail and high level of organization with minimal supervision required to complete assigned tasks. Ability to maintain a welcoming and hospitable office environment for church members and visitors.   


Positive and pro-active attitude. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Able to work independently. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Publisher. Uses time efficiently and effectively, values time and respects the time of others. Ability to work cooperatively with the other staff and volunteers to accomplish the goals and mission of the church. 

Demonstrates understanding of the mission, vision and values of the congregation. Is viewed as trustworthy by others. Direct, transparent communicator.  Keeps confidential information private, responds to every situation with consistency and reliability. Projects a sense of empathy and understanding when dealing with members of the congregation and visitors.
