Christ's Family Church (CFC) is a multi-generational congregation, affiliated with the Reformed Church in America, embracing the mission of leading people to Christ, equipping them for service in the Kingdom of God, and sending them out to reach others with the Gospel. The congregation's greatest hope is to more effectively live out Pastor of Youth and Young Adults who will provide overall direction, coordination, and implementation of the that mission through the concerted  efforts of congregants, existing staff, and newly staffed positions, including a youth and young adult ministries of the congregation.

The ideal candidate for this position is a devoted follower of Jesus Christ who has been called and gifted for ministry with teens and young adults, who has received biblical and  theological training, and who embraces a Reformed theology and worldview. This ideal candidate will also exemplify a deep love and appreciation for the role of the  local church in advancing the Kingdom of God, an ability to teach and apply God’s Word to youth, young adults, and their families in today’s challenging cultural setting, as well as an ability to organize and effectively initiate, develop, promote, and lead ministries targeting youth and young adults.

CFC is situated in Davenport, IA, one of five—that’s right, “five”—cities commonly referred to as the Quad Cities. 100,000 of the region’s ½ million people live in Davenport, a vibrant community known as “The Most Livable Small City in America.” Davenport includes many cultural and educational institutions, historic landmarks, the Great Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds, Saint Ambrose University, the Red Hawk Golf Course, over 20 miles of recreational trails, various fishing locations, and over fifty parks. The city also hosts Bix Fest, a three-day jazz music festival, and the Bix 7-mile road race. Davenport public schools serve nearly 17,000 students.
