FUNDAMENTAL WORSHIP PRINCIPLES:

Inspiring Worship:  As worship leaders, our most important role is to encourage and inspire people to worship.  Everything we do should point to God as we seek to create an atmosphere of honesty, humbleness, passion, awe and joy.

Blended Worship:  We aspire to worship in a way that is meaningful to regular attendees, sensitive to visitors and relevant to our culture and community.  We seek a contemporary blend of music--using meaningful and relevant music of the present and the past to allow God’s people to express their songs in honor of God.

Expressive Worship:  All elements of worship should encourage deep thinking and deep feeling while staying true to Scripture. As worship leaders, we seek to create an atmosphere where people are encouraged and inspired to be expressively engaged in all elements of worship.

Collaborative and Excellent Worship:   We desire to please God in all aspects of worship; using our gifts in a way that purposefully and intentionally promotes excellence; seeking not to distract by doing things poorly and without intention or being overly polished and structured as to not allow the Spirit to move and work. We also believe that worship should incorporate the gifts of ALL God’s people--from the young to the old.  We intentionally seek ways to use our people’s gifts--through reading, leading prayer, being a part of the music team, ushering, etc.
