Now more than ever, the mercy and justice work of the church and deacons is of vital importance to churches.

World Renew’s tagline focuses on Micah 6:8 and captures the overriding values and motivations for our work: “Doing justice, loving mercy and serving Christ” in all we do. We believe that the local church has a unique calling to help those suffering from poverty, disaster and injustice. Where possible, we work with local churches in our international work and are also committed to helping churches in North America reach the most vulnerable in their communities.

Drawing on more than sixty years of community development and disaster response, and current research around Christian community development and poverty alleviation, we have curated a number of resources to help deacons design and implement effective, stewardly programs that respect the dignity of those we serve.

Upcoming Webinar for Deacons

The last month has affected the way in which churches engage with their members and with their communities. Join representatives from World Renew, Volunteers in Action (Denver), and LifeLine CDC (Merced, CA) as we discuss what we are learning and how we can support one another.

COVID-19 Fund for Church Responses

World Renew is seeking to fund church initiatives that support vulnerable people in their communities through this COVID-19 crisis.
