A church that makes its building accessible has taken an important step toward accessibility for people with disabilities. But leaders need to ask whether their communication and programs are accessible. Can the woman who can't see well read our bulletin or powerpoint? How are we adjusting our Sunday School programming to welcome the boy with autism who has different sensory needs than most kids? What language do we use to show respect as we talk with and about people who have disabilities? These questions and many others do have answers.
