This year, for our Disability Concerns Canada October Series 2021, we explored our newest resource together:

Everybody Belongs, Serving Together: Inclusive Church Ministry with People with Disabilities.

We came together to discuss practical advice for developing relationships and encouraging everyone in your congregation to use their gifts for God’s glory. We dove into various sections of the book to explore ways of increasing accessibility and fostering belonging.

The following outlines the four weeks of the October series and includes the link to the recording for the session:

October 7th - No Weaker Parts: Everybody is Indispensable

  • Mark Stephenson, director of Disability Concerns Ministry, CRCNA

  • Cara Milne, Regional Disability Advocate for Classis Alberta South/Saskatchewan; author, trainer, and consultant

October 14th - The 5 Stages: Changing Attitudes

October 21st - Curing vs. Healing

October 28th - Belonging Beyond Being There: Knowing that We’re Contributing and Loved
