Ministering with Adults Who Have Intellectual Disability

We serve a generous God, whose gifts do not depend on our abilities. All people--regardless of ability--are created in God's image and have a role to fulfill in the Body of Christ. Nevertheless, adults who have intellectual disability are often marginalized to the point of invisibility in our society and, sadly, in our churches. Adults with disabilities are one of the largest unchurched populations in North America.

Learning how minister with adults with disabilities does not have to be difficult, however. Friendship Ministries provides a number of resources that can help you form a disability ministry and learn how to celebrate the wide variety of gifts our creative God has bestowed among his people. Watch the video below and then check out our website or give us a call at 888-866-8966 to learn how you can get started!
