Let’s be honest: as much as we need a good celebration right now, not all of us have the energy or emotional capacity to gear up for all that accompanies the holiday season, especially this year. And if we’re really honest, it’s not just the holidays or the shorter days here in North America. Some of us feel the same way about volunteering for church events, going to worship, and even our personal prayer. How do we pray when making a joyful noise takes much more energy than we have to offer?

Join us as we explore this question together on Thursday, December 9, at 2:00 p.m. (ET), when we will consider how the cadences of Advent can help us even when the only prayers we seem to pray are: “I don’t even know how to pray.” And because good companions can be such a tangible reminder of the God who is with us, we will lean into a few excerpts from Tish Harrison Warren’s book Prayer in the Night to keep us company during our conversation.
