Earlier this month, First Oostburg CRC, in Oostburg, Wisconsin invited Mimi Larson, Faith Formation Ministries' children’s ministry catalyzer, to spend an evening with them for dinner and discussion about Sunday School. Mimi was asked to reflect on sharing God’s love with children.

Mimi shared a variety of ideas, after which the group engaged in a lively and stimulating conversation, reflecting on how they might apply Mimi’s teaching in ways that best fit the Oostburg congregation. Mimi distributed several of Faith Formation Ministries’s free resources, and was especially grateful for the relationships she developed with those who attended.

“They asked me to come back again,” she noted, “And I told them I’d love to. I thought I would be dreading the drive back home to Chicago, but I was so invigorated, the drive flew by. In addition, Wisconsin people know how to host a great church dinner.”

Faith Formation Ministries provides congregational faith formation leaders the opportunity to meet in-person or connect digitally or by phone with members of our team and other ministry leaders for coaching and support. Whether it’s a one-time, one-on-one conversation or a long-term peer group, we are here to help. For more information about our regional catalyzer, visit crcna.org/FaithFormation/coaching!
