It’s likely that this summer will not look like any summer vacation season any of us have ever experienced before, as travel may be restricted. As a result, we all might have time to take online courses or participate in a summer small group. Below are links to opportunities for personal, small group, and ministry team engagement.

The following workshops can be hosted live online via Zoom for your congregation at no cost to you.  The workshops are highly interactive and allow for discussion and strategizing.

Contact FFM regional catalyzers Lesli Van Milligen ([email protected]) or Laura Keeley ([email protected]) to schedule a workshop.

  • Growing Young and Growing With are resources produced by the Fuller Youth Institute that support the partnership of church and home as they support the faith formation of youth and young adults. Growing Young is a 1.5-hour workshop geared toward congregations who want to strengthen their congregation-wide engagement strategies and support for emerging adult discipleship. Growing With offers three 1.5-hour sessions focused on parenting postures for supporting the faith development of young people age 13-25+, and it’s suitable for youth leaders, parents, caregivers and grandparents.

  • Renegotiating Faith is a 1.5-hour workshop that looks at the results of a recent study on the faith lives of emerging adults, focusing on the need for creating a mentoring culture within congregations. It is suitable for emerging adults themselves, ministry leaders, church council members, parents, caregivers, and grandparents.

  • Faith at Home is a 1.5-hour workshop filled with resources to support faith formation in the home. It is appropriate for parents, grandparents, caregivers, and ministry leaders who are looking for ways to create strong faith formative connections between church and home.

  • Building Blocks of Faith is a 1.5-hour workshop that explores what people need for their faith to grow. It is appropriate for ministry leaders, parents, grandparents, and anyone else who is interested in supporting the faith of the people in their care.

  • Dear Parent—Studies show that parents are the most influential people in the faith formation of children. But often we repeat the mistakes of our own parents. In this 1.5-hour workshop we use the framework of four “Building Blocks of Faith” to encourage parents, grandparents, and ministry leaders to help children find their place in God's family, know God's story, live in hope, and discover their calling.

  • The Third Third of Life workshop offers three 1.5-hour sessions looking at the unique ministry opportunities and challenges of supporting the faith formation and growth of those who have been walking the life of faith for 50+ years. The workshop explores missional opportunities, intergenerational communities, spiritual development, and adaptive ministry models. It’s suitable for both ministry leaders and folks who find themselves in the 50+ demographic.

Give it a try from the comfort of your own home with people from your own congregation!
