Discover Revelation from Discover Your Bible is available today for your small group! This excellent, in-depth study leads you to dig deeper into the initial chapters of Revelation where Jesus addresses the seven churches. The study questions are designed for use with visitors and seasoned believers. Purchasable now in digital format from the Global Coffee Break website. Print format is available later this month. Three digital lessons are accessible for free as you wait.

Sam Huizenga has been piloting the study with her own small group. “My group was afraid to study Revelation. They expected the book to reveal scary details about the future. Instead, they see how Revelation shows God’s active, loving presence in the world today.  After the fourth lesson of Discover Revelation 4-22, one group member said, ‘Our God gives mercy, upon mercy, upon mercy.’” We can’t wait for people to engage in this study!

Discover Revelation will equip leaders to walk with groups through an important and timely book of the Bible that often feels overwhelming. Revelation was written to a church under oppression from Rome who faced challenges that we face today, such as “failure to love fellow believers, idolatry, sexual immorality, false teaching, and complacency.” (Jeff Weima)

Global Coffee Break groups across North America have named their top need as “new studies” and with great anticipation, many have participated together and individually to help fund this long awaited study! This will be a two-part study, Discover Revelation 1-3 and Discover Revelation 4-22.

The DYB studies are critical for groups to create a safe place for people to discover Jesus through his Word. The studies provide a skeleton of questions that walk people through text and give shape to the conversation. The format is designed so that someone absolutely new to the Bible can be equipped to understand what the Bible says and means. The method also provides experienced Christians tools to study God’s word together and go deeper.

Each study has a companion leader guide. The leader guides mentor group leaders to facilitate discovery. They include extra questions to build the conversation, short commentary so that leaders feel comfortable with the text, and tips to equip leaders to ask rather than tell.
