I am in the midst of a tour on the West Coast which aims to resource the churches, schools and mission leaders in this area.  Yesterday, we were in Portland, Oregon at Park Lane CRC.  Pastors and others from the area who are interested in missions came for a luncheon at which they shared with each other some of what is going on in their churches regarding missions, both local and global.  They also learned about some of the things that Christian Reformed World Missions and Back to God Ministries International have available to stimulate interest in and understanding of the changing nature of missions.

In addition to doing several of these gatherings, we are also doing chapels at Sunnyside and Lynden Christian schools.  These are calibrated by age with a fun experience of Nigerian worship for the elementary students and a little more substantive look at Islam for middle and high schoolers.  The centerpiece of the trip is our GO conference at Langley, BC where mission enthusiasts from the region will gather for a six hour set of meetings that tries to inform them and equip them to serve their congregations well.  This event includes workshops from a variety of presenters including Roy Berkenbosch of CRWRC.  If you'd like to see a tour of this kind in your area, let me know and we will see what we can arrange.
