Prayer is the foundation for mission, whether that activity happens across the street or around the world. No one has better reason to be clear about that than those of us in the Reformed tradition. God must move hearts and draw people into relationship with Him because they will not come on their own. Actually, even those who are going to carry the message of God need divine encouragement and persuasion if they are going to move out into the mission of God.
This January Christian Reformed Church members are being called to a 28-day prayer vigil by Home Missions and World Missions with a focus on the workers and the work of evangelism. This campaign has occurred in January for a number of years in various formats. This year it features a series of prayer requests which alternate between Home Missions and World Missions for 28 days. They can come to you by a daily email during January, or you can download the brochure and use it over any 28 day period. You can sign up for the email, download the brochure (in Korean and Spanish as well as English), and see other resources by clicking on this link. It is our prayer that many will respond to the call to ask the Lord of the Harvest for workers to serve in His harvest field.
