Learning Tour in Mexico: The Complexities Surrounding the Issue of Migration


September 21-25 Mexico City or October 19-23 Palenque Chiapas. LEARN. EXPERIENCE. BE TRANSFORMED! 

Learn about the immigration debate first hand. Experience Mexican Culture. Have fellowship with local families. 

WE are faced with immigration daily: as a political debate, in the fruit harvested by migrant workers, or in our changing neighborhoods and schools. Learn more about this complex reality, focusing on Central American refugees and Mexican rural emigration, and how we can respond as people of faith. 

This trip will offer a variety of actives including conferences from experts in the field, a chance to talk with migrants at a shelter and a visit to an Amextra site (Amextra:The Mexican Association for Rural and Urban Transformation). You will also have opportunities to learn more about Mexican culture through visits to archeological sites, museums, and more. 

TRIP SUBJECT TO MINIMUM 4 PERSON ENROLLMENT. $575 for an all-inclusive experience (does not include airfare to Mexico) $525 if you register before August 31.
