In this time of pandemic we all need a place to think, reflect and hear the latest ideas on living well as congregations. Church Now Conversations provide this place.

The August Church Now Conversation features Kara Powell. Kara is the Executive Director of the Fuller Youth Institute (FYI) and Associate Professor of Youth and Family Ministry. In addition to her roles at Fuller Seminary, Kara serves as a Youth and Family Strategist for Orange, and volunteers in student ministries at Lake Avenue Church in Pasadena. Named by Christianity Today as one of “50 Women to Watch,” Kara is coauthor of Growing Young (2016) and authored or coauthored multiple other books and curricula. Powell lives in Pasadena with her husband and three children. Kara will focus her attention on youth ministry in this time of pandemic and the needs of families as we head into the fall with all of its uncertainties.
