'March for Life' Demonstrators and the Church

This past Saturday I noticed that thousands of young “March for our Lives” demonstrators marched on the streets of our cities and in front of our capitol buildings to stop the senseless lose of lives from guns. However, no one marched in front of my church, or in front of any other church in the community where I live and worship. WHY?

Have they not noticed that God sent Christians here to transform lives and communities and when that happens people begin to make better choices in how to settle conflict and how to appropriately use guns? Are followers of Jesus, the church, no longer considered to be a shining light or a savoring salt in dealing with the social and cultural issues of our time? Also, am I actually happy that no one marched in front of our church building and that no one really expects me to make a difference with these issues? Finally, how quickly will I forget that I even pondered these questions?
