Young Leaders Say: "Promote the Network"

At the end of August, a diverse group of 30 young adults gathered to discuss the CRC, its future, and the role of young people in our denomination. You can read more about it in the recent Banner article Connecting the Church with Young Adults.

From this meeting, they produced a 'manifesto' (to read it see Ken Kruithoff's post in our Leadership discussion network).

In the "Action Plan" section, they mention this very website! And what they said just thrilled us. Here's the quote:

Publicize The Network

The Network, an internet blogging resource that was recently put out by the denomination, is a fantastic tool that the next generation is accustomed to using. The Network has fantastic articles and great opportunities for peer learning, and can be a great benefit to the entire church. Not only does The Network have great potential to help the local church be more effective, but it also connects individuals to like-minded Christians in our denomination from all over North America. This resource needs to be used, promoted, and advertised in all local churches.

We couldn't agree more! Maybe you do too but you wonder "how?"

Well, we've tried to make it easy with our "Spread the Word" page. It gives specific suggestions for both individuals and churches.

Also, last month we sent a special email to all churches, asking them to forward it to their entire congregation. So far, about 20% of churches have done so but we hope more will soon (we're sending a reminder this week).

Do you have other suggestions for how we can, together, spread the word about The Network?
