Many of you have seen posts by Monica Brands, our previous Network Guide. We thank her for sharing with us her incredible gifts of writing, thinking, and leading us to become more aware of abuse and all its forms and varieties in our society and churches. While we are sad she will no longer be Safe Church Ministry's Network Guide, it provides another opportunity for someone to share their talents and abilities in this way.

Are you someone who has seen the powerful movement of #metoo and are ready to further contribute to this movement? Are you passionate about seeing the church live into its calling in our society, as we see the shalom of the Kingdom of God bring restoration and healing to those who have been victimized by abuse? Do you or someone you know have gifts to write, provoke thoughtfulness, and tell stories?

Perhaps you, or someone you know, may be interested in being the next Network Guide for Safe Church Ministry. This is a contract position in which Safe Church Ministry agrees to pay a fee starting at $600, twice annually after 6 months of service and as long as agreed upon services continue to be provided.

Some of the responsibilities of the Network Guide include:

  • Posting blogs on the Safe Church Network page at least twice each month – blogs by “guest authors” are encouraged to be included.
  • Responding as needed to comments and other Safe Church Ministry postings.
  • Maintaining regular contact as needed with Bonnie Nicholas re/safe church issues and topics.
  • Communicating regularly with CRC Network staff regarding expectations for Network Guides, blog publishing and content.

If you are interested, please comment, or send Safe Church Ministry staff an email with your resume and some of your sample writings. You can find our contact info here.
