The first day of synod begins with quite a bit of business. Beyond connecting to the WiFi and finding the cafeteria, delegates are tasked early on with electing officers and meeting with their advisory committees for the first time. In addition, there are times set aside for worship, prayer, and scripture reading that help set the tone for conversations and decisions later in the week.

The first day can be a lot to process! For that reason, we’d love to know:

  • What was the atmosphere like during opening worship? How about for the election of officers?
  • What was your initial advisory committee meeting like?
  • Were you able to watch synod via the livestream or follow along on Twitter (#crcsynod)? What are your thoughts on the opening session?
