Authenticity of the Holy Bible

There were many more historical accounts written about and around the time of Jesus, how is it that only a select few made it through the "... given by inspiration of God ..." filter, as expressly stated in 2 Timothy 3:16. What disqualified other anecdotes and writings?

Because

Have you noticed the “shorthand” way people are using the word “because” now? I don’t know where it started but I wouldn’t be surprised if it was on Twitter. I thought of this new usage of the word “because” as I listened to a series of sermons our pastor, Brad Smith, gave recently.
