I want to take an opportunity just to thank everyone who has worked on creating the Network, keeping it up and running, and those who take the time to serve as guides for all the rest of us.
Did you know The Network has a Community Manager? His name is Jonathan Wilson and he joined us in October. He's here for you!
It's the 4th Monday of January. What does that mean? It's "Community Manager Appreciation Day", of course!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from The Network! Thanks for helping to make this a meeting place for those who love Christ’s church and want to grow in service to Him through its ministries. Some highlights of the past year include...

We are excited to announce two newly created discussion forums on The Network: Hospitality and Young Adults. We hope these forums will foster discussions for those who participate in hospitality ministries and those who are interested in ministry by, for, or with young adults.

Just after my last comment in the Worship Forum, it popped into my head that you all could be called "RE-FORUM-ERS, how about it?
Does any organist or praise team member have any suggestions on improving the way we present our musical offerings in the Worship services?
We've been busy adding new features. Well, more accurately, Chris - our web developer - has been busy adding new features.Maybe you've imagined a team of programmers behind the scenes making this Network website happen. Nope. It's just Chris working one day per week for The Network. But he's getting a lot done in that one day.
We've been busy adding new features. A couple of weeks ago we launched the 'am I subscribed?' feature. A few days ago we launched our expanded Top 10 listing. And last night we introduced another new feature ... a profile progress meter.
As David Letterman used to say: “From the home office in Grand Rapids, Michigan; here is tonight’s top ten list.” Well The Network has expanded our own “Top 10” section to now display:From the Community (that’s all of you!)
I'm interested in resources and ideas to help us do better at our greeting and ushering ministries.
At the end of August, a diverse group of 30 young adults gathered to discuss the CRC, its future, and the role of young people in our denomination. You can read more about it in the recent Banner articleConnecting the Church with Young Adults.

As we were developing The Network, someone suggested including a "My Church" feature where you can see a list of other Network users from YOUR own congregation. It's fun to browse questions and comments from people you know in real life.
I think it'd be very helpful if you had a search box up in the header, or at the top of the page every page.
Last Wednesday we sent an email to all CRC pastors and church offices. It's something we do very judiciously — in fact, it was our first email to pastors about The Network since the launch last February. Here's a copy of the email we sent.
Over here Randy asked a really good question: Why does every comment require a Captcha response (that's the little thingy where you type text that's hard for spam robots to read)? Here's why.
We finally got our new sharing sidebar live. And just in time for the fall ministry season so you can share Network pages with ministry leaders in your church
