Were can I find guidelines and procedures for streaming worship services?

There is a fair amount of material on the web for streaming a worship service. Besides doing a podcast for those who want to listen anytime, we have set a goal for ourselves to be able to audio stream, and possibly video stream the service. I would appreciate some suggestions, guidelines, and/or a procedure on how to set this up. D. Klein http://www.sussexcrc.org/

How does your church promote the growth of Cadet Club?

Our Cadet club has been shrinking for the last several years. We have terrific co-ordinator who truly loves the ministry and the boys, but it seems like each year there are less and less boys who attend. I am wondering what other CRCs have done to promote their Cadet clubs and increase their membership. Is this a denomination wide problem, or is it just our goup? I wonder if a name change would help....??? Any ideas would be great! Yours in Christ, Grace

What is included in the Clerk of Council job description?

Hi: Being a first term Clerk of Council, my understanding of the position is probably pretty limited. Essentially, I've been keeping minutes and passing on correspondence. Anybody with more experience want to take a stab at a good job description? Or know of a resource with a better description? Thanks in advance, Brad

What types of ministry are people doing as a Ministry Associate?

Greeting, I thought I would post something here right away. Yes I am ordained as a Ministry Associate. Have been for about 4 years. Curious how this forum will work. I am also especially curious to hear about how people are doing ministry are doing ministry as a Ministry Associate. I work as an community worker and evangelist in a type of 2nd staff position in an established church. Mark Van Drunen

Pastors to Teach in Moldova

I have gone 15 times to Moscow to teach at a Bible College that was under Campus Crusades umbrella. I will most likely be heading there again to teach Gen - Deut (Oct. 18-29, 2010). I would love to see other colleagues of mine consider this 2 week teaching mission.

Learning From the Past

We just finished using Esther DeWaal's Seeking God. It's a fine introduction to the Rule of Benedict. And why Benedict? Toynbee calls the Rule the "mustard seed of western civilization," and it's not hard to see why.

Reflections on Prayer While Reading HOME

Sometimes by the time we get to pray we have already fretted and considered. By the time we come to God, our prayers reveal the solution to our crisis. God give me what I believe I need so that this moment will pass leaving me with the “appearance of dignity”.

Spilled Salt: Living in Community

One of my favorite aspects about being a Christian is living in community, being constantly surrounded by people who support me as a whole person – not necessarily because of my position, but because I am a fellow believer (I hope that’s what it is anyways …), and vice versa.

Key Connections

It’s easy to feel isolated when you’re leading a ministry. If the attendance drops, a volunteer steps down, or parents are unhappy, everyone looks to you for solutions and direction. But who do you look to for support, encouragement, and advice?

Collecting for a Cause

Did you know that nearly half of all the gifts given from the CRWRC gift catalog are from Sunday school classes? Kids love to know that their offerings will provide a goat, a well, or a pig for someone else!
