Hamilton and Jesus

What if we thought about worship like Hamilton? More and more I’m convinced the Church’s captivating, timeless gospel song plays most memorably in the classic liturgy.

I Lie at Church

One Sunday as I sang along to the song on the screen, I realized I might not entirely mean what I was singing.

Twice a month I have the honor of leading worship for over twenty adults living with a developmental disability and often physical disabilities. I tell God’s stories using Children and Worship materials.

Blessed by the Blessings of Others

I’ll never forget the professor who read Psalm 13 and tied it to his lifelong struggle with depression. The sanctuary was so quiet as he spoke that it seemed like everyone was blessed in glimpsing the blessings he received from this short but powerful Psalm.

Working at Two Different Churches

For a year and a half now, I have worked part-time as a Worship Leader for two different churches. Would I recommend it? If you're up for a challenge and feel God is calling you, I'd say "yes" you can make it work.

Worship That Welcomes

My church has approximately 40 different denominational backgrounds represented. In such a diverse group, the tendency is to go "wide," stripping worship to singing and a message. But what if we opted to go "deep" instead?

By His Fatherly Hand

My adoption and life story isn’t “I once was lost, but now am found.” It’s more of a story of being eternally found from the beginning of time, with a very visible, tangible example of God’s providence.

Faith: Inspired by a Star

Hope is much more than just a blind wish. It's having a clear expectation and the confidence that what you hope for will come to pass. Like the wise men we too have hope—hope for today and for the future.
