Page 16 of the January Banner has a notice about a mutual separation of a senior financial officer attached to a college owned by the CRCNA. This it appears after a 100 million dollars worth of "payments" are required in 2017. Where are the overseers of this officer? Where are the auditors?
Next to paid staff, I'm the only one who spends time of my own at the church during the week. I love doing what I do, 100% But this is a "thankless Job" if you will, and sometimes just a little appreciation would be nice. Do any of your churches do anything for that kind of person, and if so what do you do?

I am wondering how many Church Secretaries, Assistants, etc. do not work at the same church that they attend? Do you see benefits to this? Downfalls? Let me know your thoughts.
Our staff has not received pay increases for the past two years. Our Personnel Team is now considering this issue again as it's budget creation time. They're wondering what other churches are doing this year.

I've been involved in a couple of conversations about health insurance for non-minister staff, in particular part-time staff. I've been wondering how prevalent it is for churches to offer health insurance through or outside of the denomination's resources for part-time staff.
