About Me:

I am a Pastor at Christ Community Church in Nanaimo, BC. An American who has found her way north, I spend my free time enjoying the scenic outdoors, knitting, writing, and people.

In ministry, I feel very strongly a desire to be faithful to God and to help others do the same. I love being in the work of God's transformation and having the opportunity to introduce people to new experiences, practices and God's everlasting Truths in meaningful and life-shifting ways.

Weight Loss is a Lot Like Sanctification

Over the last three years of being a pastor (as an intern and ordained) I’ve lost about eighty pounds—and all in front of people who see me changing week to week to week. • Hey Allen, thanks for starting the discussion. A couple of things come to mind.

First, some people are more inclined to "deep thinking." Anyone who's taken a personality/spiritual gifts/...

  • I'd be interested to see what comes of this. At our church we've been trying to develop a guideline for our IT team for images on the screen. Needless to say, we haven't been very successful!...
