In 2012, Synod adopted a new category, Ecumenical Faith Documents, and placed the Belhar Confession therein. This category, and even these criteria, bring up some serious questions.
I grew up in the CRC loving to hear Bible stories and wanting to be involved in the church in any way possible. Now I attend Mid America Reformed Seminary to become a pastor. I love the people and Word of God. I believe the Word of God cannot be compromised for the words and will of men. I adhere to the 3 forms of unity as faithful testemony and summary of the doctrines of Scripture, and I believe these documents need to be taught all the more in our society.
