Gender Dynamics in Ministry Leadership

Men and women face unique leadership challenges in church and ministry environments. How aware are you of some of the unique challenges? What are some factors that help men and women in ministry flourish together in their leadership roles? How are leaders affected by using appropriate communication, establishing and maintaining professional boundaries, sharing of authority, and giving mutual respect and support?

These are questions and issues we will explore with you as we come alongside churches, ministries, and agencies to create a safe place to identify leadership challenges and gaps to men and women leaders working together. Or maybe you have a new or existing ministry and wonder if things can be better.

We have discovered an excellent podcast made available by consultants Jim Herrington and Trish Taylor through the Faithwalking Journey. We'd love to facilitate a conversation with your leadership team as we use these four podcasts to help your ministry create a more hospitable environment.

According to Herrington and Taylor, “Men and women working together is one of the biggest systemic challenges we face today in our families and communities.”

I agree. It’s our responsibility to work together in eliminating these leadership challenges so that we are truly better together as we serve each other and God’s people.

If you are interested in having a conversation, either at your ministry location or using teleconferencing, please email Denise Posie at [email protected]. You may also leave a comment below. Be sure to include any specific questions you have! Looking forward to hearing from you.
