COVID One Year Anniversary Worship Resources

Friends, it is hard to believe that it's been a full year since many of our churches had their first remote worship service due to COVID-19. And nobody thought that a year later we would still be in unfamiliar and uncertain waters.

Consider marking this anniversary in your worship services. It provides a space for lament for all that has been lost this year, including deaths in your own congregation, but also offers an opportunity for finding ways that God's hand has been at work in gracious ways. There are several resources available in this folder, including a litany of lament, a litany of gratitude, an example of an adaptation for a Psalm, and a full small group activity.

We would love to hear what you are doing! We'd love pray for you and with you, and also to add your ideas to this folder for other churches to consider. Email us at [email protected].

Know that we are praying for you in our staff meetings. We recognize the tremendous burden of this year on worship leaders and worship pastors both physically and spiritually. We pray for times of rest and for constant reminders of God's goodness.
